Entry Formalities for Canada

U.S. born citizens should have a valid passport or a birth certificate plus photo I.D.; naturalized U.S. citizens need naturalization certificate with photo I.D.; permanent residents (who are not citizens) need the alien registration (green card).

Visitors from countries other than the U.S. must have a valid passport, and a visa may be required. Please note that the $75.00 CAD processing fee has been waived.

Passport Restrictions

New passport restrictions for air, land and sea travel to and from the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean have taken effect. Travelers are required to have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States with all travel. Most travelers can find information at the U.S. Department of State Website. Travelers from Canada should check with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

For additional information, please visit the website for Citizenship and Immigration Canada at: http://www.cic.gc.ca. You can also consult the nearest Canadian embassy, high commission, consulate, customs agent, or your travel agent.

You should allow a minimum of 30 days for visa delivery.
